I always thought that shared web hosting was a good idea to start off a website, however, there are always those times that I had wish I had chosen a better web hosting plan. For instance, I recall one moment, my site always broke down at least once every week. It was horrible for my readers and personally for me. I felt like I was ripped off.

What were your experiences with shared web hosting? And what do you suggest I should do?

What web host did you use? Please elaborate. Not all shared web hosts are the same, so sterotyping isn't the right answer here.

Specifically, I used BlueHost, what do you think about them?

I remember reading a desperate blogger's nightmare about that web host. You can read it here. I generally believe not all shared web hosts are the same, perhaps you should switch over to Host Gator, I've heard some really great reviews about them.
